Recovering Stressaholic - Finding your path to peace

I am such a failure. Do you realize the average Facebook user has 130 friends? I only have 22. Where did I go wrong? No wonder I'm stressed!

Hi. I'm Paula and I'm a stressaholic.

Stress has been a major fact of my life since probably before I could talk. And learning how to manage it or live with it (or both) has become my mission. So if you've found your way here, by whatever means, I'm guessing you have some of the same issues.

Dealing effectively with stress is a whole-person effort--body, mind, spirit. You'll find a lot of blogs here related to the spirit and mind. Not so many about the body. That is about to change. In the next few weeks, I'm going to chat about what it means to be truly healthy and some of the techniques I use to stay that way.

Here's the disclaimer, OK? I'm telling you what I do. I'm not suggesting you should do what I do. Your body is not my body. If you want to make any real changes, you should talk with your physician or health care practitioner about it first. Having said that, I will also warn you that many traditional Western doctors will not encourage you to use supplements and natural remedies. Prescription drugs are their first choice, not their last resort. That's what they are taught in med school. A few, however, are enlightened. Try to find one of them.

And above all, be well.
